I know most of you don’t have The Flame Broiler where you live, but it is one of my favorite things to eat here in Orange County, so I decided to make it at home. I think I got it just right! It was super easy and it’s pretty healthy.

  • Steamed the White Rice in a rice cooker
  • Steamed the Broccoli, Carrots, and Cabbage in a steamer
  • Marinated cut strips of skinless boneless Chicken breasts in a Teriyaki marinade that I made (soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, onion powder, etc.) and seasoned the chicken with some salt
  •  Grilled the Chicken in a pan on medium high about 4-6 minutes on each side til the Teriyaki marinade made the chicken nice and brown/caramelized and coated with sauce and cooked though
  • Removed the Chicken and let the excess sauce reduce to even more thickness
  • Chopped up the chicken into small pieces

And that’s about it! Put the rice in a bowl with some veggies, top with the Chicken and garnish with a bit of raw chopped green onions, drizzle some of the extra sauce on top and boom! It was so good. It tasted almost exactly like Flame Broiler.

What do you think?
