The reason most people I know (including me) dislike Justin Bieber is because he’s a product, simply put. Most artists who gain fame during their teenage years (especially in pop music) are just products, manufactured by their record labels to rake in money. I don’t care how nice of a person he may be – his music is nothing different, nothing innovative; it’s the same teenybopper pop music we’ve been getting for the last decade. Bands like the Backstreet Boys and N*Sync had the same old shtick: attractive male singer(s), syrupy love songs, catchy beats. Their producers are the reasons they’re successful. Also, I find it a little odd that Bieber is singing about ~love~ and ~romance~ and ~one less lonely girl~ when the kid’s only sixteen…

I’m not sure you really read my post. Like I said- hate his camp, his handlers, his producers. Don’t hate the 16 yr old that is taking a great opportunity that you would too.

Also like I said, he is talented, and plays 4 instruments, and can sing pretty damn well. He is writing some of his material as well. Just because he was “discovered” and cultivated with genius aggressive marketing strategy isn’t a reason to hate him. Hate the industry.

While you’re on the subject, although BSB and NSYNC may have gotten their start as manufactured but they quickly refined their talent. NSYNC took the reigns from their management aggressively and wrote and produced their own material, and we all know that Justin Timberlake is extremely talented, as his solo success has proven.

This recent “Never Say Never” movie campaign for Justin B. is actually in attempts to showcase his actual raw talent and his road to success. Marketing? Yes. Smart? Definitely. In any event, whatever the reason you really can’t rationalize a good reason to hate on the kid himself.

What do you think?
