Of course there was Michael Jackson. Madonna was the 1st female to go all with iconic music videos, but PAULA ABDUL was the 1st female to do full on choreographed dance videos, and then she went on to choreograph for Janet Jackson’s dance videos.

And as far as pop/hip hob collabos (female pop/R&B artists featuring rappers on their tracks) Mariah Carey pretty much made that a thing.
