Seriously, besides the fact that I think it’s too soon to get a fairly new artist tattooed (I wouldn’t get one til they died) I would at least research VERY heavily. When I say research I mean I would ask a professor with a degree in french, not study booklet/liner notes and facebook quotes. Record and publishing companies are notorious for getting lyrics wrong, and the artists hate it. Unless I heard it from Lady Gaga’s mouth herself I would not get incorrect french written on me permanently.
Technically, it should be “vengeance”, that would translate better, but “revanche” is also french for revenge, and I’m sure it was written that way in the song because it sounded better lyrically. As for the tattoo, repeating the 1st french line (like in the song) is unnecessary, the 2 lines would have been good. And why not on the back or shoulder or chest? I would never tag up my bicept, it’s too pretty.. especially not in that trite wedding-invitation script font that comes with Windows.
